A Healthy Environment
to Learn
At Washington School, we believe that developing social and emotional skills within the school environment promotes personal wellbeing, fosters positive relationships with peers and adults, and contributes to meaningful learning.
Our aim is to ensure that students go through their schooling in a healthy and balanced way, creating positive bonds and being able to enhance their academic performance.
To achieve this, we have a School Counselors’ Team composed of health professionals who work jointly with the Leadership Team and teachers from all levels, co-thinking the pedagogical approach and suggesting a variety of teaching styles and strategies to reach the maximum individual development in a healthy learning environment.

Comprehensive Support
The School Counselors’ Team intervenes through various actions and proposals, such as: focusing on the development of effective and healthy learning from a preventive approach; providing guidance on the implementation of intervention strategies in groups and/or with students who need them; promoting the development of socio-emotional skills in children and adolescents; and organizing talks and workshops for different members of the community. They also offer Vocational Guidance to students in the final years of Secondary School.
A Caring
Community
Washington School provides a unique and privileged environment for the development of socio-emotional skills — not only for children but also for all adults who are part of this learning community — creating meaningful life experiences.
